　　Teachers Day is, interestingly, not observed on the same day all over the world. It is perhaps one of those few days which has a separate international day whose importance is superseded by the nationally observed day.

　　非常有意思，在世界范圍內(nèi)，教師節(jié)并不是同一天。它是廣受?chē)?guó)際重視的日子，跟其他的國(guó)際節(jié)日一樣，只不過(guò)是在不同的日子里來(lái)紀(jì)念罷了。

　　International Teachers Day as observed by UNESCO is October 5. Being held ever since 1994, it commemorates teachers organisations worldwide. Its aim is to mobilise support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers.

　　世界教科文組織以10月5日為國(guó)際教師節(jié)。自1994年以來(lái)，都用于紀(jì)念世界范圍內(nèi)的教師組織。目的是為教師們爭(zhēng)取支持，并確保未來(lái)孩子的需要能得到滿(mǎn)足。

　　China -Teachers Day was founded at the National Central University in 1931. It was adopted by the central government of the Republic of China, in 1932. In 1939, the day was set for August 27, Confucius birthday. The People s Republic of China government abrogated it in 1951. It was reestablished in 1985, and the day was changed to September 10. Now more and more people are trying to revert the day back to Confucius s birthday.

　　中國(guó)――教師節(jié)是1931年由國(guó)立中央大學(xué)設(shè)立的，1932年由中華民國(guó)中心政府采用。1939年，又把教師節(jié)定位8月 27日，也就是孔子的生日。1951年中華人民共和國(guó)廢除了這一規(guī)定。1985年又重新設(shè)定教師節(jié)為每年的9月10日。現(xiàn)在越來(lái)越多的人希望將教師節(jié)改為孔子誕辰日。

　　India- Teachers Day is celebrated on September 5 in honour of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second president of India, whose birthday falls that day.

　　印度――教師節(jié)是每年的9月5日，來(lái)紀(jì)念印度的第二任主席拉達(dá)克里希博士的出生。

　　Russia- In Russia, Teachers Day was celebrated on the first Sunday of October, between 1965 and 1994. Since 1994, the day is observed on the October 5, coinciding with World Teachers Day.

　　俄羅斯――在俄羅斯，教師節(jié)在1965到1994年間被定為十月的第一個(gè)周日。1994年后，俄羅斯的教師節(jié)就改為與世界教師節(jié)同步，即10月5日。

　　The US- In the US, Teachers Day is a non-official holiday. It is observed on the Tuesday of the first full week of May. The day is celebrated with pomp and gaiety. A number of activities are organised in schools to honour teachers. The celebrations can continue for the entire week of May.

　　美國(guó)――在美國(guó)，教師節(jié)被定位五月的第一個(gè)完整工作周的周二，為非官方假期。節(jié)日通常是在一片歡樂(lè)的盛況中度過(guò)。很多的協(xié)會(huì)組織在學(xué)校對(duì)老師進(jìn)行表彰，這一盛況甚至持續(xù)一整周。

　　Thailand- In Thailand, National Teachers Day is celebrated every year on January 16. The day was adopted as Teachers Day in the island nation by a resolution of the government on November 21, 1956. The first Teachers Day was held in 1957. The day is declared as a holiday in schools.

　　泰國(guó)――泰國(guó)的國(guó)家教師節(jié)被定在每年的2月16日，這是由一項(xiàng)在1956年11月21日通過(guò)的政府決議規(guī)定的。1957年泰國(guó)人慶祝了第一個(gè)教師節(jié)。在泰國(guó)，教師節(jié)作為學(xué)校的節(jié)日來(lái)慶祝。

　　Iran- In Iran, Teachers Day is celebrated on May 2. It commemorates the assassination of Iranian professor Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari. The renowned writer, a timeless teacher, was executed on May 2, 1980. On the day, students offer flowers to teachers to honour the sacred profession.

　　伊朗――在伊朗，教師節(jié)是5月2日。它是為了紀(jì)念刺殺伊朗教授阿亞圖拉莫爾塔扎。一個(gè)永恒的老師和著名作家，1980年5月2日被處決。當(dāng)天，學(xué)生向教師敬獻(xiàn)鮮花，以贊揚(yáng)教師們這項(xiàng)神圣的職業(yè)。

　　Turkey- In Turkey, Teachers Day is celebrated on November 24. Turkey s first president Kemal Ataturk dedicated November 24 to honour teachers and their profession. There is no holiday on this day.

　　土耳其――在土耳其，教師節(jié)是11月24日。土耳其第一任總統(tǒng)凱末爾專(zhuān)用11月24日來(lái)表彰教師和他們的職業(yè)。這一天也是不放假的。

　　Malaysia- May 16 is dedicated to teachers in Malaysia. The day is celebrated as Teachers Day in the country with great enthusiasm. The day is called Hari Guru in Malaysia and is a working day.

　　馬來(lái)西亞――5月16日是馬來(lái)西亞的教師。教師節(jié)這一天，全國(guó)上下都以極大的熱情來(lái)慶祝。在馬來(lái)西亞，這一天被稱(chēng)為“哈日宗師”，同時(shí)這也是馬來(lái)西亞的一個(gè)正常工作日。
